Rev. Hayes Hite, Jr., age 64, a native and a resident of Houma, La., died, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Leonard Chabert Medical Center at 2:05 PM.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2012 at New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church (BANKS ST.) Houma, La., from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be Monday, June 4, 2012 at New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery in Houma, La.
Rev. Hayes Hite, Jr., was the ASST: Pastor at New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church and he also was a Vietman Veteran.
Rev. Hite leaves to cherish his memories; four daughters, Kimberly Hite, Jewel Mart and Kristen Hite all of New Orleans, La., and Courtney Joseph of Baton Rouge, La; one adopted son, Keyon Hite of Houma, La., one stepson, Todd Hartman of Houma, La., three stepdaughters, Swatkina Mart and Tasha Mart both of Houma, La., and Chanda Hartman of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Melvin (Angela) Hite of Houma, La., five sisters, Judy Hite, Rose (Kenneth) Johnson, Albertha (Alvin) Francois, Mary Hite and Brenda Thomas all of Houma, La; two uncles, General Smith of Houma, La., and Nickolas Smith of Stockton, CA; five godchildren, Tamarie, Zenobia, Aliska, Kayce and Brandon and four grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Hayes Hite, Sr., and Dorothy Smith Hite; maternal grandparents, Maude and Albirtha Campbell Smith; paternal grandparents, Mose and Cora Mitchell Hite, and one sister, Barbara Norman.
