Alfred O’Gwin Sr., 85 a native Morgan City, Louisiana and resident of Baton Rouge, LA was born May 5, 1927 and passed on June 27, 2012 at his home.
Graveside Inurnment services, with Military Honors, will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Morgan City Cemetery. Rev. C. F. Smith will officiate the services.
Alfred served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. He received an honorable discharge.
Memories of Alfred will remain in the hearts of his two daughters, six sons, seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, four nieces, two nephews, an aunt, Juanita Verdine Carter of Los Angeles, CA and a host of other relatives and friends.
Alfred was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Knighton O’Gwin; his parents, Thelma Verdun Harris and Alexander O’Gwin Sr.; two brothers: Alex Jr. and Leroy (Emma), and a beloved niece, Joyce O’Gwin.
