Kevin Charles Verdun
Kevin Charles Verdun, 58, passed away peacefully on Monday February 4, 2019 at the Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. He was born June 8, 1960 to the late Joseph “Joe” and Leatrice (Gobert) Verdun and was the youngest of five children.
Kevin was a graduate of Patterson High School and following graduation, he began a lengthy career in the oilfield working side by side with his brother (Guy) and nephew (Ronnie).
He was a kind and loving person who enjoyed his family very much, however his greatest love was for his nieces and nephews. He made sure that he always gifted them at Christmas and sometimes would slip a twenty in their hand just because. Kevin was fond of football and was as a Dallas Cowboys fan, but he also liked the Saints. One of the things he appreciated was racing RC boats with his nephew on the weekends. Kevin had a witty sense of humor and kept everyone on their toes. He was always cracking jokes and at times he was the only one laughing. His laughter was very distinctive which put a smile on your face because he was having such a good time. He will definitely and deeply be missed.
Kevin leaves behind his family to cherish all his memories. The family he leaves includes his brothers: Joseph “Ronald” (Claudette) Verdun, Jr. and Guy (Elvina) Verdun both of Patterson, LA; his sisters, Bettye (Ted Sr.) Foulcard of Franklin, LA and Lillian (Michael) Smith of Lafayette, LA; his nephews, Joseph (Ronnie) Verdun, Ted Foulcard, Jr., Ross (Amanda) Verdun and Travis (Megan) Tjon; his nieces, Shawna (AJ) Jeider, Kelly (Travis) Everitt, Micha (Terry) Smith and Elizabeth (Chandler) Smith; his great nieces and nephews, Zoe Foulcard, Allen and Emily Everitt, Tate and Liam Tjon, Thomas and Grant Jeider and a host of cousins, relatives and friends and a special cousin, Angela Gobert.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Verdun, Sr. and Leatrice Gobert Verdun.
