Adam “Boozie” Frazier Dora

Adam “Boozie” Frazier Dora, 81, a native of Abbeville, LA and resident of Gueydan, LA was called home to rest peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at his residence.

A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at a later date and time. He will be laid to rest at the Gueydan Cemetery with his loving wife during a private internment ceremony. 

Boozie was born on June 17, 1942 to Morris Allen Dora, Sr. and  Mary Ann Fontenette Dora in Abbeville, LA and he was a resident of Gueydan, LA. He was an Army Veteran who served his country while receiving numerous Medals of Honor with various named accomplishments serving two tours voluntarily in the Vietnam War. He was Honorably Discharged in January 1971. 

He was a loving and devoted husband to Terry Mouton Dora for 44 years in their Union, which bought about two children, Adam “Rallo” Mouton and Contessa Dora, a step daughter, Tracey Mouton and a custodial grand daughter, Alexia Fontenot all of Gueydan, LA. He also leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Corie Williams of Abbeville, LA and only sister, Bobbie Dore Foster of Portland, OR. He was a wonderful father and step father and dedicated to his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as step grand and step great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Mouton Dora, his son, Boyd Williams, sisters, Patricia Dora Pounds and Jacquelyn Dora Merriwether, brothers, Morris Allen Dora, Jr. and Louis Jerome Dora, step grandson/brother-in-law, Tung “TJ” Mouton and sister-in-law, Bessie Pauline Mouton.
