Calvin Brent, Jr.

Calvin Brent, Jr., 71, a resident of South Holland, IL and native of Franklin, LA, passed away on Sunday April 24, 2022.

 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. - Psalm 23

Illinois Services - A service will be held on Saturday April 30, 2022 at Olen Mortuary in Harvey, IL.
Louisiana Services - A Celebration & Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday May 28, 2022 at 10:00 A. M. at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA 70538. 

Memories of Calvin, Jr. will forever remain in the hearts of his four children, Tanika (Anthony) Brent Phillips of Houston, Texas, Renardo Brent and Denzel Brent, both of South Holland, IL, and Quann (Aerinne) Bowles of Houston, TX; sisters, Dorothy B. Lewis and Guienzy M. Brent both of Franklin, LA; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 

Calvin, Jr. was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara D. Brent; a daughter, Lashawn B. Jones; his parents, Calvin Brent, Sr. and Lavera Guienze Brent and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
