Charles Bellizana, 76, a resident of Gibson, LA passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 7:45 PM at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
Charles enlisted in the United States Army and served during the time of the Vietnam War and was later discharged, receiving an Honorable Discharge and a Purple Heart.
Visitation will be observed on Sunday February 13, 2022 from 4-6 PM at Jones Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Road Houma. Public viewing will resume from 10:00 AM until funeral time at 12:00 PM on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the St Luke Baptist Church Bayou Black Drive Houma, LA. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery in Gibson.
Memories of Charles will forever remain in the hearts of his daughters, Tracy Bellizana and Keetia Williams; sisters, Joan Clark, Wilma Hawkins, Carolyn B. McGill (Jerry), Janet B. Ruffin, Brenda Aubert, and Carmie W. Bolden; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Sr. and Vellia R. Bellizana; a brother, Jack Bellizana; and his sisters, Delores Cheavis, Eloise Payne, Eula Allen, and Wavernell Belcher.
