Doris Douglas Williams

Doris Douglas Williams, 76, a resident of Houma, LA passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM at the New Rising Sun Baptist Church. Celebrant, Pastor Kenneth Jackson. Burial follow in the Church Cemetery.

Doris is survived by her children Sean Elliot Williams of Houma, LA and Sonja Kim Williams of Crowley, Tx; her sister, Verna Douglas of Atlanta, Ga; a brother-in-law, Walter Williams, and her sister-in-law, Katherine Valentine, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded by her husband Junius James Williams. Parents; Clifford Douglas and Ethel Smith Douglas. brother Bernie Douglas, stepmother Doretha Douglas, stepsister Elmite’ Lee, nieces Jackie Michelle Douglas and Dawn Faye Douglas, nephew Jerome Parker.
