Dorothy Harvey Obituary

Dorothy Harvey, 78, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Gibson, LA passed away on October 26, 2023.

Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at New Magnolia Baptist Church 427 Hwy 311 Schriever, LA 70395 from 9:00AM until funeral time at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Halfway Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Walter Harvey, Jr., Pernell Harvey and Jeffrey Harvey. Grandchildren, JaCoya, Serenity, Ebani, Jeffery, Jr., Bryson Harvey and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Harvey, Sr., and parents, Joseph Short,Sr. and Nola Calloway Short, brothers, Sullivan, Moses, Roland, Melvin, Warren, Ulysses, Joseph Short, Jr. and Freddie Short, Sisters, Verleen Short, Betty Brinson, Susie Short and great granddaughter, Jessica Ann Harvey.
