Harold Knight, Sr.

Harold Knight, Sr., 72, a resident of Morgan City, LA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Ocshner St. Mary Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM at New Mt. Esther Baptist Church 1213 James St. Morgan City, LA. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Harold Knight Sr. was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Ernest & Marie Wesley Knight Sr. on January 31, 1951. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized to the late Rev. Earl W. Rooks at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Morgan City, LA. He was employed at St. Mary Redi-Mix in Morgan City, LA for 11 years and moved on to DPS in Austin, TX for 20 years. He was a very skilled craftsman.

He was called home on Saturday, November 4, 2023 and leaves to cherish his precious memories his daughters, Lillian (David) Irvin, Kisha Knight, his sons, Harold Knight Jr., Ernest (Veronica) Knight Sr., Travis (Monique) Green, Cory (LaShonda) Knight, Fredrick Singleton, 16 grandchildren,  4 great-grandchildren, 9 siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest & Marie Knight Sr., his wife, Patricia Ann Knight, 3 sisters; Susan Knight, Rosemary Stewart, & Marilyn Francois, a brother; Daniel Knight, and a nephew, Jason Knight.
