Julia Mary (Nelson) Singleton

Julia Mary Nelson Singleton, 81, a resident of Morgan City, LA passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 10:39 AM at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9:30 AM until mass service at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be held in the Union Bethel Cemetery in Amelia, LA.

Julia leaves to cherish her memories; two sisters, Hattie Martin (Kennry) of New Iberia, LA., and Agnes M. Dalcour of Lafayette, LA; a brother, Ervin J. Mitchell of New Iberia, LA: a aunt Joyce R. Vallot of New Iberia, LA; two godchildren, Quida V. Archangel of New Iberia, LA. and Lionel Singleton, Jr., of Houma, LA; sisters-in-law, Jackie (Joseph) Jones, of Morgan City, LA and Dr. Virginia (Troy) Alfred of Baton Rouge, LA.,  two brothers-in-law, Anthony Singleton and Lionel (Vera) Singleton, Sr., both of Morgan City, LA., a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by mother, Hattie Mary Mitchell, father, George Nelson, grandfather, Motto Mitchell, grandmother, Julia Cormier Mitchell, her husband, Alvin Singleton, Jr., a daughter, Jannette Singleton, a sister, Katherine Mitchell Davis, a brother, Lester White, uncles, Wilbert Mitchell, Albert Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, Lewald Vallot, Leroy Vallot.
