Larry Jones, Sr.

Larry Jones, Sr., 75, a native and resident of Patterson, LA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Ochsner St. Mary in Morgan City, LA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM at Good Hope Baptist Church 908 Washington Street Patterson, LA. Pastor Patrick Jones, celebrant.  Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery in Patterson, LA with the Fort Polk Honor Section performing Military Honors.

He is survived by his three sons; Larry Jones, Jr. of Jeanerette, LA, Troy Jones, Patterson, LA; and Edward  Jones of Bayou Vista, LA; two daughters, Ashley (George) Washington of Patterson, LA and Andre (Shelby) Williams of Morgan City, LA; three brothers, Charles Jones and Floyd Jones, both of Patterson, LA, and Jeff (Rhonda) Jones of Cutoff, LA; four sisters, Maltilda Ray and Katherine Jones, both of Patterson, LA, Marion (Kenny) Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA, and Ann Jones of Meridian, MS; two aunts, Jeanette Levison of Lafayette, LA and Iva Mae Henton of Port Arthur, TX, two goddaughters, Teresa Dugar and Monica Pitts, one godson, Dwain Paul and  nineteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alma Jones, Sr., his wife, Carol Jones; brothers, Joseph Jones, Jr. and Frank Jones; father-in-law, Edward Jennings; mother-in-law, Tisha Jennings; two sisters-in-law, Martha Welsh and Audrey Drayton.
