Linda Ann (Hampton) Young

Linda Ann Young, 67, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Raceland, LA passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022. 

Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 11:00AM until funeral time at 1:00PM at Jones Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360 (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.) Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery - Lafourche Crossing. 

Memories of Linda will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Donald Young, Jr., (Danielle) of Des Allemands, LA; Donald Young III (Candice) of Raceland, LA; Jermaine Young (Taniara) of Raceland, LA; Tamela Brown (Michael); of San Antonio, TX and Erica Young (Clifton, Sr.) of Racland, LA. Brothers, Bruce, Lloyd (Nichelle) and Marvin (Linda) Hampton. Sisters, Elise Poindexter (Isiah); Louise Poindexter (Curtis, Sr.) Bernadine Howard and Doris Verrett (Matthew, Jr.) Seventeen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, God children, Curtis Poindexter, Jr., Mark Thomas and Marquita Folse. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick Hampton and Viola Ellis Hampton. Husband, Donald Young, Sr. Brother, Herman Hampton and sisters, Lucille Hampton and Eula Mae Hampton Dick. Companion, Jerry Willis, sister-in-law, Donna Hampton and Joyce Hampton.
