Obituary

Onedia "Neda" Jackson Louis, 74, a native of Morgan City, LA and resident of Verdunville, LA, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 1, 2022 at 7:36 PM at HCA Houston Healthcare in Webster, TX.  

Visitation will be observed on Saturday May 14, 2022 from 8:30 AM until a rosary being recited at 9:30 AM at the St Jules Catholic Church in Franklin, LA. Tributes and Expressions will begin at 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow mass services in the Franklin Cemetery-Main Street in Franklin, LA.

Memories of Oneida will forever remain in the hearts of her loving husband, Peter Louis, Jr, of forty-nine years of Verdunville, LA; sister, Mary Ann Jackson Fields; her nephew, Vernon Charles (Diane) Fields, Jr.; nieces, Dorby (Tracey) Marquez, Earika Marie Jackson, and Tammy Marie Fields; her loving godmother, Idella Wilson Johnson; great-nieces, Stephanie Nicole Dioguardi Fields, Toreyonne Marie Fields, and Jewel Alexas Lewis; great-nephews, Nicolas Dioguardi, Marcel (Mardy) Fields, and Kevin Toussaint Jr.; brothers-in-law, Johnnie Lewis, Jerry (Ann) Lewis, Tony Gibson, Jimmy Gibson, and Gabriel Louis; sisters-in-law, Diane Spain and Rose (Joseph Sr.) and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Onedia was preceded in death by her parents, Rayfield "Sing" Jackson, Jr. and Eara Singleton Jackson; two nephews, Marcel Jackson and Ramone "Mone" Jackson; father-in-law, Peter Louis, Sr.; mother-in-law, Margaret Louis; brothers-in-law, Jimmy L. Lewis, Raymond Spain and Warren Spain.
